Hi there,

I’m Alex and for the past five years now, I have lived on the Lizard Peninsula in the very south of Cornwall and documented something of my life here.

Instead of telling you my age or star-sign or what it is I do for work, I thought I’d tell you what it is I love, as invariably these are the things I fill my life with,  occupy my time with and perhaps more accurately express who I am…

Writing. Cats. Night-time. Candlelight. The works of the Brontes. Train journeys through rural landscapes. Toasted pecans. Spiced apple. Libraries. Bookshops. Thick heavy duvets. Being barefoot. Marzipan. Cinnamon. Mulled wine. Museums. William Morris. Well-worn leather boots. Well-organised kitchen gardens. Vita Sackville-West. Chai tea. Fig jam. Conference pears. Potting sheds. Old oil paintings. Ghost stories. Dark petrol blue. Introspective, articulate people.

Oh I love this! Someone after my own heart.
We currently live in the city (after I was brought up in a small town) and hate it. Hopefully by the end of the year we'll be in a little detached house in the middle of nowhere growing our own etc.
