Hey there I’m Alex, and I live in the sticks, in the very South of Cornwall with my husband Matt. Here you’ll probably find me in dungarees and wellies; reading in a cosy corner, writing in a seaside pub or off on a country walk; Instagramming snaps of thatched cottages and other people’s chickens.

On Serpentine Shores is a slow lifestyle blog – come scruffy internet art project. On here I document life, share snippets of work and provide something of an idea as to what life is like in this quiet corner of the world.

On the whole my philosophy is a slow and simple one. I believe in living with intention; mindful to the world, its resources and the people I share them with. Naturally (pun intended) my writing, photography and design work is largely inspired by all things raw, wild, earthy and organic. Sustainable living with honesty and simplicity at its core, is where I’m at.

Oh I love this! Someone after my own heart.
We currently live in the city (after I was brought up in a small town) and hate it. Hopefully by the end of the year we'll be in a little detached house in the middle of nowhere growing our own etc.
